Description
A seductive aroma of red berry fruits and hints of bay leaf. The scent follows through to the palate, which is fresh and smooth.
Jean-Luc Colombo also works as a consultant to other producers and is sometimes described as a 'flying winemaker'. He is hands-on and has been described as an 'Arch Modernizer' due to his advocacy of using modern grape growing and winemaking techniques to compete on global wine markets. With the Rhone steeped in tradition, Jean-Luc's view came across as controversial but became accepted by ambitious young winemakers. He has joked that he is 'the most hated and loved winemaker in the Rhone'.
