Wagon Tree Chenin Blanc
2011 Chenin Blanc
- In South Africa, the Wagon Tree became an indication of the perfect location for growing grapes.
The native Wagon Tree gave South African settlers the means to prosper in wild and unknown lands. Its fine timber made strong wagon wheels that carried travellers across the empty wilderness, whilst the glossy leaves made ink.
Planted in the same fertile soil as this distinctive tree the vines flourish, producing flavourful grapes kissed by the warm Southern African sun and nurtured by the cool ocean breeze carried down through the green valleys of the Western Cape.
This Wagon Tree white wine is made from Chenin Blanc grapes, which is the traditional South African white grape. Star bright with fresh citrus flavour, the wine has a vibrancy that makes it great served on its own or with food.
