Description
Chakana is both a social and environmentally responsible wine producer. The company has great respect for indiginious traditions and cares for the local community. Every bottle helps the local agriculture industry, by supporting the Chakana Foundation, which assists with the development of local sustainable agriculture, so it's a great bottle of wine all round!
Chakana means 'bridge' and whilst the team are extremely proud of Argentinian heritage, they are also spirited, energetic and their wines are immediately approachable and fruity in the new world style.
Situated south of the city of Mendoza, in the Lujan de Coyo region of Argentina, the estate benefits from the year-long dry and sunny climate and is virtually organic.
Chakana Malbec has aromas that are characteristic of the grape, typically black plums and hedgerow berries. This premium Argentinian wine, is silky smooth.
Chakana is an award winner at the International Wine Challenge and has been awarded Best Buy by Wine Enthusiast.
Malbec is the signature grape of Argentina and has put the country firmly on the wine map.
