Description
Omrah is the second wine from the magnificent Plantagenet Estate, based south of Margaret River and was the first Australian Chardonnay made with no oak!
Omrah is named after a vineyard, which was named after a boat. The SS Omrah brought passengers from England to the Great Southern region in the early 1900’s. One of the early passengers decided to pay homage to the ship by naming his property Omrah. Vines were later planted on the property and the first Omrah Chardonnay wine was purchased from the vineyard in 1989.
Words from John the winemaker (pictured above) "As a winemaker, I take pride in producing wines that are consistent in terms of quality from every vintage. My definition of quality is based first and foremost on structural balance and flavour harmony, with a varietal purity and where possible, also expressive of the region. Qualities I hope you will find in Omrah"
Wine and Dine Menu

Enjoy with salmon or chicken kebabs. If you fancy something quick and easy, jacket potato with butter and grated cheese works well.
