Description

Let's not beat around the Syrah bush - Jean-Michel Gerin is a character and a masterful winemaker. Farming an outstanding vineyard of 10 hectares in Cote Rotie and another of impressive quality in Condrieu, Jean-Michel is one of the acclaimed producers of the region. The Syrah is authentic and pure, - the Viognier fragrant and rich.

Jean-Michel's wines are also a triumph in the sensational structure department, being a successful merger of creamy oak with concentrated fruit. This Cote Rotie wine is 90% Syrah with 10% Viognier - it has style and elegance. The vines over 50 years old, are employed to produce classic Cote Rotie with interesting flavours of blackberries, peppery spice, creamy vanilla biscuit and wood smoke, all complemented by an alluring and generous floral and hedgerow berry aroma.
