Description
Friuli-Venezia Giulia is a region in the northeast of Italy and is a crossroads of Italian, Slavic and Germanic people and cultures. Following innovation in the 1960s of temperature control and German winemaking techniques, Friuli provided Italy with it's first ever truly fresh and fruity white wines. The wines produced in the region represent a tiny fraction of Italy's total production, however the DOC wines produced in Friuli is one of Italy's highest.
Heir to a traditional Friulian winery dating back to 1881, Silvio Jermann has achieved undreamed-of success, both in Italy and internationally. Today the Jermann estate extends over 150 hectares of which 130 hectares are vineyards and 20 hectares are given over to seed and horticultural crops.
Jermann Pinot Grigio is a golden colour with rose highlights. This velvety white wine is dry with exceptional persistence. Floral aromas are complemented by almonds and vanilla cream.
We have one bottle of 09 vintage available and plenty 2011, so if you have a preference please advise us in the personal message box at checkout, or get in touch.
